Almost half way there…

I had my post op visit with the RE that specializes in oncology yesterday. Everything is going well, she was a bit surprise on how the radiation oncologist is doing the radiation, however like me, she trust that he knows what he is doing. She has said that she would like to see me in October to make sure my ovaries are functioning properly and to see if my FSH is lower. It also appears that I will not need to see my gyncologist for the next few years. My ob/gyn that was in charge of my pregnancy with Max can’t be in charge of my future pregnancies because of Larry. The RE that I saw yesterday can see me for routine stuff and it looks like I might go into a study to study the effects chemo on the reproductive system starting one year out for five years. If I get into that then I will be seeing her for a few years anyway.

Radiation is going well… I guess. I am not really having any side effects and considering I am about half way there I am taking this as a good sign.

Max I think doesn’t like that I am gone every morning. His sleeping all of a sudden is off. Not sure why but it is.

Well that is about all I can think of for now. I have another appointment with the radiation oncologist tomorrow. I will let you know if anything comes from that.

  1. I haven’t commented in a while but wanted you to know I check in a few times every week. I’m so glad the radiation isn’t causing any real side effects for you. I pray all the time for Larry to be gone completely and for your reproductive system to not be effected. I know this has got to be a very difficult journey for you. You have really been an inspiration to me; the way you have written about this has demonstrated such strength and grace. Thank you for sharing your journey with us. I look forward to the day when Max is able to get his puppy and then soon his little siblings.

    Blessings,

Laura (Asher, ^Jacob’s^, and Caleb’s Aunty)
