Hello,

I hadn’t posted all week so I thought I would. I have been busy not thinking about cancer and the road ahead of me. Which is a good thing. I am feeling about 98% from the surgery. So that is good.

Max is doing well. Tony left on Wednesday for a meeting up in Boston so my “Dad #2” has been staying here helping out. That has been good since I really shouldn’t lift Max for 2 weeks after my surgery. For those of you that have had a toddler you know how challenging this can be!

Max is talking more and more. Today Dad #2 went on a walk with Max while I stayed home. They got to a certain point and Max said “go back” and proceeded to turn around to go home. Dad #2 followed him and sure enough he made a B line for the door once they got to our property. His favorite word is still “no” or “no, no, no, no” but he does say other things from time to time too. He is also very affectionate. When he spends a bit of time away from me he will come back and give me a giant bear hug around both legs making it near impossible to move! He also does this with Tony when he gets home from work.

Max LOVES pizza and will eat it any chance he can. He isn’t a big pasta eater though. I am not sure why.

I have to share this little story about Max. We have a Carbon Dioxide detector that is in a plug in our entryway. It came with the house and while I don’t like it, it does work so I can’t really justify getting a new one yet. Well Max has been wanting to play with it and will go over and touch it. Tony and I both tell him no all the time. Well last night Max went over to it right before he went upstairs to bed. There is a button on it to test it, and wouldn’t you know, he tested it! Max HATES loud noises and that thing made such a racket! I think it scared the poo right out of him! After calming him down a bit and quieting the device, he crawled up the stairs and I changed his diaper and it was stinky! Needless to say, he hasn’t messed with it since! It is is all I can do not to laugh about this even now!

Tony is getting home tonight and we don’t have a lot planned for this weekend. Though we will be using the barbecue.

Talk to you later!
Jennifer
