When life gives you lemons… make lemonade!

Well I met with the second oncologist on Friday. This doctor is nice and she ordered a TON of blood work on me. She told me that based on the size alone that this very well could be cancer (lymphoma). So she ordered me to go and get a CT guided Core Biopsy. This is where they take a larger needle to biopsy the mass. It is guided by imagery so it is pin point accurate (since you can’t feel the mass that well).

She said that my white blood cells are still low (they were low on the 14 of October with my RE). We know I don’t have HIV so that could also point to cancer. However it could point to other things as well.

The biopsy will be this Wednesday (November 25) and I will meet again with the oncologist on the 4th of December. Odds are I will not know anything more till then.

Tony has looked into Lymphoma and it looks like if that is what I have, that I got it early, so therefore this could be “curable”. The stat he was looking at showed a 95% survival rate 10 years out… which essentially means cured.

I am also looking at this as yet another reason why I have infertility. I mean I feel fine. So I would have never went to the doctor to get something checked out, because I don’t feel like I have something that needs to be “checked out”. So God may have done me a favor.

Max has been helping me look forward and not look backward. Whatever is happening to me is has already started. There is little that I can do about it now. Though I must admit that all of this has made me not want to stick to my diet! Ha ha!

The oncologist said that if this isn’t cancer that she will order progressively more invasive tests till we figure out what this is. The next step is lapriscopic surgery (surgery that involves a camera to help guide the doctor). This would be able to give them a bigger sample then what the core biopsy could give them.

We ask for your prayers during this time. We know that all of you helped give us our daughter the time she had on this earth. We know that with prayer we may just get another miracle.

Thank you,
Jennifer
