Emily continues to require large amounts of respiratory support but has been improving slowly. We had some good news today. Emily was stable all of last night and throughout the day. Alexander died on Friday, August 11th almost eleven days to the minute after his birth. Alexander and Emily both took a turn for the worst yesterday. Both have breathing difficulties because their lungs are so immature.
