Long over due post again…

Well to say we are busy, is an understatement. This week we had a bit of a quiet time so I am taking advantage of it. I was able to clean the house this morning, and laundry is currently being done, I need to make lunch but with Nathaniel asleep on me I might as well update the blog.

Max finished his swim class with jumping into the water without a noodle!! I can’t wait to see how he does when he starts up again in about 2 weeks. Nathaniel will also have his swim class that day but since I will be in with him, it will be hard for me to video him. I will try to get video of him when we do family swim on the weekends though.

We went to a church picnic in there. Nathaniel and Max had a good time and the food was GREAT!

However the highlight of the last few weeks has got to be my father, step mother and sisters coming out for a visit.
BEWARE Photo overload!!

All told we went as far north as Hyde Park, east to New Haven, CT and west to Conshehonken, PA. It was a VERY fast trip, and very action packed. I last saw them on Tuesday and I am just now feeling recovered from the trip (it is Friday). I learned some though in the trip. When I go back to the Statue of Liberty, I am going to plan a whole day for both islands (Ellis Island included). It is FAR too much to see in even half a day. I also will not go in the summer. I think fall/spring or maybe even winter would be best. Less crowds and such. I would also pack a lunch to eat there. Food is insanely expensive ($5 for a lemonade) so packing a lunch would be wise. You do have to go through an airport style security check, but honestly it wasn’t that bad even with the stroller packed. You also have to get your boat tickets before you leave home. The line for the tickets was long.

I also got a “Passport to National Parks” when we were in Hyde Park. This has been fun collecting the stamps around when I can get them. I still have many more to collect though. So that is the gift that keeps giving.

Next week we will start homeschooling again. Max is almost done with first grade english (one week left) so that should be fun to finish. Then Max will have a fun with a new year of stuff. Some is continuation, some is new, all should hopefully be fun.
