If you are looking for video of last Saturday’s game you will have to wait. I don’t have it uploaded yet. However I do have other things to share!
First up we have Fenway and his new “summer” hair cut. Yeah he is still sulking. Silly dog!
Here is Max consuming a rather large carmel cinnamon roll with nuts. Yeah we went WAY off Paleo for this but it was very tasty treat!
Next we have Nathaniel at the mall play area. He looks so big! I didn’t put him there, he put himself there and looked back at me.
I made this hat for Max long ago and now it fits Nathaniel. He doesn’t like it any more then Max did. Ha ha!
Nathaniel I think can now take solids. He is doing a bit better with them. This afternoon I fried up some egg to give him. It is yummy! Though I think Nathaniel thinks that about all food!
This photo of Nathaniel shows 4 teeth trying to come in. If you look from left to right (on top) you can see the order they came in. First came the one to the far left, then the one next to that. Just now I see the one to the far right poking through. No wonder he wants to eat!!
This next bit is an experiment. I found in the grocery store this week freeze dried fruit and veggie “melts“. They are not bad nutritionally, but still, they are not organic and not what I would really like to give him all the time. I would love to be able to make something like this at home. So I googled “how to freeze dry” and found out that you can just put something in the freezer and a week later (if it is thin enough) it could be “freeze dried” so now I have to try it.
I started out with frozen spinach (defrosted), frozen carrots (defrosted), chopped up raw sweet potato (skin on). Then in the second bowel I have frozen peaches (defrosted), frozen raspberries (defrosted), and a cut up apple (raw, skin on).
I put that all in the Vitamix.
When it was done, it looked more like something that would come out of Nathaniel and not that would go into him. Thankfully it smelled good.
I didn’t want it to have raw sweet potato in it and I thought I could help with some of the moisture if I cooked it. So I did. It did taste good at this point even without the cooking though.
I put it on a parchment lined baking sheet thinly, along with apples that are 1/16 inch thick, 1/8 inch thick and 3/16 inch thick
I still had quite a bit left over so I packed that up for later.
About this point, Max came in and asked why I was saving the brown mess. It didn’t look good to him so I told him to try it. I gave him a taste and he wanted one of the containers I had made. He calls it “smoothie porridge”. He nearly licked the bowl clean!
I will take a photo everyday till it is dried!
