Every now and then I talk to my family and the subject of grocery shopping comes up. Inevitably this turns to where we find the best prices on groceries around here. That is Aldi.
Well today I went to Aldi and I thought I would share what I got and how much it was. That way when this topic comes up again, I can just refer to this post.
The above photo shows what I got today minus some bananas that were on the other counter and I forgot about for this photo.

- 1 fresh pineapple – $0.79
- 1 – 12 pack of 2 ply double roll bath tissue – $4.99
- 1 package organic Spaghetti – $1.19
- 1 package organic Linguini -$1.19
- 1 half gallon orange juice with calcium added – $1.79
- 2 cans of pineapple chucks – $0.89 each or $1.78
- 2 boxes of Nature Path Pumpkin Flax granola – $2.99 each or $5.98
- 1 lbs of tilapia fillets – $4.29
- 20 count of Pomegranate fruit strips – $4.99
- 7 Plantains – $0.19 each or $1.33
- 3 packages Cranberries – $1.49 each or $4.47
- 3 multi colored peppers – $2.99
- 2 packages chopped pecans – $2.99 each or $5.98
- Dr. Seuss book – $3.49
- 8 AA batteries – $1.99
- Spicy mustard – $0.99
- 3 avocados – $2.99
- Stone Ground mustard – $1.29
- 6 bananas – $1.08
Subtotal – $57.16
Aldi is a place where they either have it or they don’t so there is no “their brand” and then a more expensive brand next to it. I may have been able to do better prices elsewhere but I may not have too.
