Nathaniel got his first cold over night. Sounds like it might be croup. I am going to be keeping him on my chest most of the day today to hopefully break up what it is so he can get better soon. The good news is that he doesn’t appear to be coughing that much. So maybe we can treat this now and he will be fine.
Max also has a cold but it doesn’t seem that bad. I am giving him elderberry syrup (that I have turned into jello for him) and that seems to help him a lot. I also put some echinacea in it.
These photos are from last night and this morning. Tony went out and shoveled snow last night and Max had to go with him. Sadly Tony (who normally focuses on Max on the weekends) didn’t realize that he had snow pants (that I bought a few years ago when they were on clearance, I knew eventually he would grow!) so his pants got soaked. I brought them up so now he should be nice and dry. Oh and in case you are curious, yes Max had 2 different boots on yesterday. We started him out in his old snow boots but they hurt his feet. Try as I might, there were no normal, non commercialized, boots in his size that were for what I wanted to pay. Every year I never know how much snow we are going to get so I don’t want to pay a ton for something he may get 6 uses out of! So this year he will be using his “farmer” boots. They are just rubber boots and I can make sure he wears thick socks.
We are in a warm patch before we get more snow tomorrow. I am praying that the snow doesn’t fall till I get back from the CT scan (about 10 am). Tony will likely be staying here with the boys. Not fun!
