Max lost his bit of cabinet yesterday. So he is good now!
Nathaniel in this photo looks like Emily to me.
These next few photos are Nathaniel in the van. Normally when Sunday school is going on I go out to the the van to feed Nathaniel while Tony and Max are inside. Sometimes (like this last Sunday) we have time to play a bit.
Max had a very frustrating day yesterday. I told him to try to do a item in his schoolwork and he refused. So I told him he couldn’t get up till he tried to do it. My stubborn boy decided to take a nap instead of trying…. Tony got him to try when he came home.
Nathaniel looks more like Max here.
Max did better with his schooling today. So that is good.
I have looked more into Max having a dairy allergy and it is seeming more and more likely. I will still have to talk to his doctor about it on Monday, but I think we may have hit the nail on the head. Max in since yesterday morning has pooed 3 times. He isn’t ill so I am a bit shocked by this. Clearly we may be on his stoppage (boy is he going to love reading this when he gets older!). I have even found another woman who had nearly the exact same thing happen to her child. Her child swallowed a dime at the age of 3. X-ray showed he was constipated. Doctor told her to stop dairy and he was dairy free till he was 5. At 5 they did limited dairy and she says even now (not sure how old he is) he has issues with dairy.
My biggest problem with this is making a dairy free life work for the family as a whole. When I started this when Nathaniel was in the hospital I was thinking maybe 6 months of this then back to normal. Now I am thinking this may be us. Tony, is taking it a bit hard as he never wanted to be part of “the allergy crowd”. You know the kind that freaks out over EVERY LITTLE THING. Clearly we know our sons can have dairy, they just shouldn’t. So we at least have that going for us. I am looking into meal plans till I get used to cooking with dairy free milk and without butter or cream.
Well that is all for now!
