Well I think this sums it up best. My dad number 2 is going to be coming up here starting tomorrow. He will be here Sunday as he is driving. Anyway, he wanted to make sure we would still be in need of him come Monday. So I talked to him last night and said we should know more today. This morning he called and I said we should know more this evening. This evening came around and now I am just guessing!! This process is a slow one.
What I do know (caution may be too much information):
• He has A+ blood and I am O+ so he had some funny blood related to that. Hematology doesn’t think he needs further evaluation.
• He had trace amounts of blood in his stool at different times today. This would be from his intestional area. This could be from an infection, which they have a sample being tested, or from the formula he was on. They now have him on alimentum to see if this helps.
• He is off his IV. In loo of this they are now getting blood sugars at every feed. NOT fun!
• He is eating better and filling out.
That is about all I know now.
Forgot to post this yesterday as he is ready for his hospital transfer.
