At least we have a private room, I guess.
I wish we had a water valve at home that said the temperature of the water like this.
Our view.
And the other direction.
Poor Nathaniel!!
At least he is in his own clothes and things. The blue thing on his arm is protecting his iv.
Right now he is on low iv fluids. We are feeding on demand and offering formula (Gerber Good Start Gentle) after feeding. He has had lots of blood tests. His bilirubin is still elevated but that isn’t the sole reason for his lack of weight gain, it is thought as Max had “breastmilk jaundice” and that tends to run in families.
We got to this hospital late, but Nathaniel seems more tired then normal. It is alarming to me and they are aware of this.
They have said that we will be here for a couple of days and that the answer is either very simple or very complex. The middle ground has been ruled out. Simple would be just supplementing with formula. Complex would be genetic or non-genetic problems. Nathaniel has been checked for some genetic issues as well as Tony and I and we were cleared, but it could be something rare.
I will update when I know more.

Hi Jennifer.
So sorry that poor little Nathaniel is having some struggles. I hope you get some answers soon. He sure is adorable.
I love the pictures of him and Max. Looks like Max has adjusted well to being a big brother!
Take care, Rowena

Just a note to say I hope everything is going as well as possible and you’ll get out of there soon. Love Nathanial’s blanket – too cute. Been thinking of you and hoping you are doing okay too.
