Well today’s OB appointment went well. I am gaining a bit of weight. I think I am up about 2 lbs since last week. I guess that isn’t bad. I will go back in 2 weeks then every week thereafter till he pops out of me! If only it were that easy! OB seemed better with me this time. Not as scared that I came out of remission or anything. She said the next hurdle is to get me to talk to the anesthesiologist and figure out why they don’t want to use my port or central line. My feeling is they are scared of it, but that is just my opinion. It is treated like a normal IV once accessed so I don’t know why they would be scared of it. They just need an oncology nurse to access it.
My OB also said that something that I thought was my fault for the last 4.5+ years wasn’t actually my fault. With Max I got sick when in the c-section. They raised me up a bit and I felt better but I thought this whole time it was because I had ice cream the night before I had Max. Even back then, he LOVED ice cream. Well I asked my OB about it today to see if I needed to eat differently or take something the night before or whatever. She said they dropped my blood pressure too fast and that is what caused this feeling in me. They were not watching carefully and this happens. That makes sense since it didn’t happen when I delivered the triplets. She told me to tell them I got very sick with Max and then they will watch me more closely. How awful that I thought it was me for these last 4+ years!
In other news, going back to the homeschooling issue. As I said in my prior post this is a work in progress. Well I spent part of the day yesterday researching the differences in Singapore Math. They have a few versions of it. Finally I was directed to this chart. I showed this to Tony and he now wants Max to have the Standard version verses the US version. Not a huge change but a good one none the less. The only problem is the Standard version may go away sometime in the future. So we need to keep an eye on this to get the things we need for Nathaniel should that happen.
