Meanwhile, I laid out, and cut all the hidden inners of hemp/bamboo fleece that I need for Nathaniel’s diapers. Yeah, this stack is just the inners. There are 2 more layers that needed to be added to get a diaper. Not to mention…
The soaker! I started stitching these back pedal today as well. To the left is 10 that were completed. To the right is the remaining 17 hemp/bamboo fleece for the back pedal (that has bamboo velour on top), and 27 more backers for the colored cotton velour that goes on top!
At this point I am thinking of doing all I can with one color of thread on the serger, then going to another thread color. So I am starting with white. None of the 31 diapers in total, will have white inners, but I can match them up with the colors well. I have a whole list that I am working off of. Each of the diaper outers, will have a twin, but they are fraternal as they are not exactly the same, having different inners. They are all laid out but have yet to be cut. Some of the fabrics I am working with like to curl when cut, so I am trying to keep that to a minimum.
