Someone asked why I don’t have more eggs.
This is rather simple to answer. Chemo. Chemo killed all my fast growing cells. Sadly this included all my eggs. It also killed Larry though so I can’t be too upset.
I did have hope that the littlest, most immature eggs would come back, but after a year, I had a simple blood test and discovered that is an impossibility (think on the lines of the immaculate conception). In short I am in menopause but I can and was in a chemically induced normal state (not menopause). Strangely for me that involved birth control pills.
I don’t need to do anything hugely different with this pregnancy and in less then 2 weeks, I will be off of all hormone support. I will also still be able to breast feed normally and will not have to go back on hormones (birth control pills) till after I stop breast feeding. Trust me I researched this fully in my 2 year break.
