Well since I forgot to upload a photo yesterday (not to mention that Max and I were just doing school work and feeling sick… the later on my part not Max’s), I thought I would do a 2 for 1 today!
This first photo REALLY stinks but considering I was taking it while not stopped in the rain, I think it is fairly good!
I think this is a sewer treatment center or something. Not really sure. However it is one of the strangest buildings I have seen as at night the whole thing lights up and you see all these pipes and such in it. Honestly it seems like a waste of tax payer money (to light it up that is), but they do it and since I don’t get down there very often at night. I figure it is photo worthy.
Today I got to see my oncologist. With the Flu epidemic this is a harder task then it normally is. So I called to make sure I could bring Max with me. I told them that he was well. They said he could come but for my protection, he and I should wear masks. I was a bit scared by this for obvious reasons but it seemed to work out. He wore an adult mask and I tied it in the back. With the video (DVD player) he was happy enough to get through the appointment. Who would have thought I had such a grown up boy!
My oncologist is happy with me and I don’t need to see her again for 3 months. We talked about me getting a PET scan after delivery and she suggested that I wait till my milk comes in. I was hoping to do it as soon as I am out of the OR! She says this way the radiation can get out of me faster. She cleared me to take a calcium supplement (I would love to drink that much raw milk but it just isn’t going to happen right now). She ordered me to get an abdominal ultrasound along with the normal ultrasounds I am getting for the pregnancy (high risk as it is).
My oncologist gave me the strong impression it could be done at the same time as a pregnancy ultrasound. Well I called my Peri’s office to set this up and I was quickly told that they only ultrasound the BABY in the peri’s office. I told them that was odd they are looking for placenta issues in me. I asked them if they look at my pelvis at all in the ultrasound. She informed me they don’t. That is a different ultrasound. So I have written my doctor an email asking if she wants me to get a pelvic and abdominal ultrasound when I go and get this SEPARATE ultrasound. Yeah, the baby is soon going to be in both my pelvis and abdomen (well you will see tomorrow that it looks like they already are!) but they can’t look at me and I have to get a separate ultrasound to look for my lymph nodes!
The good news is that assuming all looks well, then my oncologist has agreed to let me go to 38 weeks and not 36 like she was originally threatening. So I do have a hope of getting a well baby!!!!
