On July 4th we made Max’s playset into a water park. We hooked up the sprinkler and then he had a water slide. Not great for Tony’s abs but who needs to do crunches now!! As you can see Max LOVED it!
I also got a new app for my phone and now I can play around with photo’s. I like it, and feel like I can now make the blog even more interesting with the photographs.
It can even make Fenway look good!
Here is what we got from the CSA this week:
1 lbs of Chard
a big bunch of onions
a garlic
a bunch of beets
2 heads of lettuce
3 summer squashes
3 ears of the best tasting corn!! Seriously we purchased corn and Whole Foods the other day that tasted something like wallpaper paste. This actually had flavor!!
Not a huge haul but tomorrow we are going to go and get peaches (not from our CSA… yet still pick your own).
Today we had playgroup and only one person was wanting to go. So we met up with them and went on a nature walk! It was a lot of fun!
We are trying our best to stay out of the heat. It is not fun to be in the northeast right now. I know all our family and friends in the northwest wish they had some of this but it is starting to become a bit much. We are under a heat advisory for tomorrow (we are going to go picking first thing in the morning) and the next day and in the forecast is even more days like this. I don’t think we have had a high under 80’s in some weeks. I just hope this winter isn’t awful!
