Blueberry picking!

Now I did a TON of Huckleberry picking as a child but not a whole lot of blueberry picking, so in a way this was Max’s and mine first time. Huckleberries are these http://wildhuckleberry.com/
Here is Max with his bucket picking berries. He did it for about 30 minutes then decided to play while I picked.
Now I am sure that my uncle John would say that this is NO state for hands to be after picking berries but I was a bit impressed with myself. To me it showed that I at least tried hard. John is the EXPERT at picking huckleberries so therefore the mention.
And our haul! 11 pounds nearly. Not bad for a mama with a 3 year old and a few hours worth of work!
Edited to add… Today I was talking to my father about the Sea Shepherd organization. He, much to my surprise, had never heard of it. As you know I never like to get political on here, however I thought I would try to shine a bit of light on this organization. They are doing things that are often unnoticed and for a private organization, they are often going up against governments (who are often extremely corrupt) in what they do. They are trying to protect (mostly) marine wildlife. They are famous for stopping Japanese whaling vessels in the antarctic. They have also tried to help other marine life in other parts of the world. You can go to www.seashepherd.org to read more about them. They also have a show on Animal Planet on Friday nights at 9 pm.
