Ever feel like someone hit the fast forward button on your life?

Because that is exactly how I feel!! Here it is the end of May and I feel like the month just started!

Last weekend went well. It was hot here so we were trying to keep cool. However we had a few storms too. My poor newly planted raspberry starts look like they have seen better days. I am hoping that they will look better when the weather evens out a bit. We got 3 blueberries from our blueberry plants that we planted last year. It looks like a few more are coming right behind it too! We have been enjoying strawberries as well from our garden. Our herbal garden is doing really well. I think we will have all the herbs we will need for some time with that!

This week is a busy week for us with Tony and I having different things to do nearly everyday. Today Tony was up in Boston for work. I know it sounds strange for a medical writer to have to travel but he is in line for a potential promotion to Medical Director and this is what they do. The company recently got rid of it’s medical director so they needed Tony to fill in a bit.

I recently made some fig butter that was lacto-fermented. It is very tasty and I wouldn’t consider myself a big fig person. So we have been enjoying that. We watched the movie Fat Head late last week and Tony was very impressed with it. He now wants to eat all protein breakfasts. I got mad at a bit of it because it said that women that are older shouldn’t worry about their cholesterol levels. So this made me mad as I know older women who are on statins.

Yesterday I saw my doctor again. Well not quite, but I did go to the doctor’s office. Found out some more information. My lining was unchanged since the week prior. So they started me on progesterone to end my cycle. I will go back a week from today for a check, then I will not go back again till I start my cycle and get another volume scan. I asked about said volume scan as it made no sense to me. The nurse practitioner didn’t really understand it either. She did say that for some reason this protocol that I am on does help with the flexibility of the uterus. She said (in nondescript ways) that she has seen people that had pre-pubesent uterus’ that were able to go on and have a child after doing this for a few months. I guess it is like uterine exercises or something. It actually makes the uterine volume bigger. She also said that my lining should be able to sustain a pregnancy. So that is good as well!

Well aside from that we are dealing with Max and sleep issues again. It seems like a constant refrain of my blog but it is still happening. We are also looking forward to our camping trip this weekend. We should have a lot of fun with that.

Talk to you soon (hopefully with photos)!
