Well I was just checking on here after talking to the nurse at my doctor’s office and found out someone asked the question that that nurse provided me the answer with.
Question: How will the doctor work on building up my lining?
I am in menopause right now from the chemo. It stinks! Trust me I know women hate it when they are 45-50 but it isn’t much more fun at 33 (I am 35 now)! So I have been on several different drugs to make my uterus still functional and give me the benefits that the estrogen is suppose to do for me as your not suppose to go into menopause this early in life. Most recently I have been on the birth control, Nuvaring. Birth controls work in various ways but one of the ways they work is they thin the lining of the uterus. So it is no surprise to me that when I had my last ultrasound (last Thursday) I barely had a lining. It was only 3.6 or something millimeters. I need it to be in the 8+ millimeters range.
So what my doctor did is gave me instructions to build the lining before my next appointment on May 16. I will start taking Estrace (a drug that was given to me while I was pregnant with Max) starting on Wednesday, and then on the following Monday I will up my dose before my appointment on that Wednesday. I obviously will not be on the Nuvaring during this time with this. I imagine that if things start looking well I will be given progesterone to see how I maintain the lining at a certain point. If this doesn’t work, then we will go to higher doses or different delivery methods till we figure out something that works for me. I am not really that worried about it as I have had 2 years to get used to the idea of this high risk pregnancy and I feel that everything will be fine in the end. Yeah I am a bit strange that way!

Not strange, you just have a lot of faith in the Lord and He always knows what’s best for you. Keep the faith. You’re always in my prayers.
