Max has been doing well in his schooling. I didn’t take any photos of him doing it this week though. Not sure why. He seems to be getting the concepts I am asking of him and he is doing well with drawing straight lines from here to there. Coloring is also getting a bit better as he is doing circular movements as well as straight back and forth movements. Not quite drawing bug people (big body/head with sticks for legs and arms) but I think he will be there before too long. I think this is an area I was lacking on focusing on for him. He appears to only enjoy just a short bit of coloring before he is bored. Maybe that is because it is a bit new and hard for him. Word concepts (above, under, to the right, ect…) he seems to be getting as well as same and different, though he needs to work on that a bit more.
In other news not much is happening. Max and I seem to have a cold/allergy right now. I wouldn’t think anything of it but I have a PET scan on the 16 and having a cold or ANYTHING can cause a false positive PET scan. So that is a bit alarming. I called my oncologist office and they said to just take something over the counter for it. So I am trying to do that.
I think if Max were not sick I would be back to sleeping in my own bed. Max is doing well in his room but I always feel like kids need more attention when they are ill so I am staying in there a while longer. My hope is that this is our FINAL sleep training that we have to do with Max… I know famous last words, but I have learned a TON from Max and hope to not make those same mistakes with the next child.
I am reading the Harry Potter series right now. I know this may be shocking for some but I actually normally don’t enjoy reading. I mean I do it when I have to, but to read for fun was never really something I did. In the last week though I have got through the first 2 books and have the third one looking at me right now just begging to be opened. I am sure if it were magical I wouldn’t even be able to see the screen because it would be trying to get my nose in it!
My sister has her first competition tomorrow (or maybe it was this whole weekend) for ice skating. Dad sent me photos of her on the ice and she looks like she knows what she is doing from what I can tell from 3 photos. Ha ha! Hopefully my father will be sending me video of her performance when he can. I can’t wait to see it.
Other then that, I have trying to keep busy. I am not sure I am happy with the names we picked out for a girl years ago. So I have been trying to find new ones. The names I am looking at are not common so I am not sure how well received they will be but I thought I would have a bit of fun looking at good meanings. We will see. I have over a year till I really have to decide.
Well it seems that Tony and Max are having desert so I better join them. I hope everyone has a blessed Palm Sunday and Holy Week. I know we are VERY busy this week and all of April for that matter.
