This is Max admiring himself in the mirror at the doctor’s office. No one can be as good looking as THAT boy!
Well today I went to the doctor and I got there at about noon. I knew things get busy in the afternoon so I wanted to get their early as I needed my labs drawn from my port as it hadn’t been accessed in 10 weeks (normally they like you to come in every 6-8 weeks). So I go and I wait a bit, get my labs drawn and then go and wait in the waiting room for my doctor. My appointment is at 1:30 so I figure it will not be that much of a wait though I do think it is odd that so many people are in the waiting room. About 45 minutes later I go back for a vitals check then I sit and wait, and wait, and wait. Finally around 3:30 or so I get the call to go back into the above pictured room. I meet with a nurse practioner and she tells me that my doctor is going on vacation soon so that is why they are extra busy. Also she is on-call at the hospital. So then I wait and wait and wait. Then Max says he needs to go to the restroom. At this point I have been waiting SOOO long that I am afraid to leave the room. I can’t think of anything I can do to help him though other then taking him to the bathroom. Finally after asking him to wait three times I decide that I will leave our stuff and I will take my purse and go a few doors down to the restroom.
What I am about to say I am not really proud of but we all do what we need to do. I take him in there, don’t lock the door, pull down his pants and let him pee. Then I pull up his pants and hurry down to the exam room without washing my hands. I then wash my hands in the exam room though. There was a couple who was sitting in the room directly across from the restroom that I am SURE thought I was nuts. However we all do what we need to do. About 5 minutes later my doctor comes in.
I told my doctor that I drink raw milk. She asks if I am ill from it and I assure her that I am not. She then says it is my life so be it (essentially). She tells me that my counts are all normal (including my white blood cell count that I thought my doctor had said would always be low with me) and then says there is no indication that I am not in remission and sends me on my way.
So now I have a date for when I will see her again. April 18. I will have a PET/CT scan on April 16. I wanted this to be the week earlier but this is okay. I can move my next date (in August) to the week prior. That means that the following week I can start the monster list of doctors that I need to see before I can have my transfer of my embryo (whomever that may be) the following week.
Tony, on the other hand, had a great interview today. It was suppose to be fairly short but it turned out to be longer and longer to the point that they want him to come back tomorrow to meet with the Vice President of the company. They have an immediate need for someone so they are moving up the process. Tony is local and that is a good thing at this point. They are thinking of hiring him as a contract employee for 2 to 3 months. So if your doing the math, that means that we will not get health insurance until RIGHT before my scan potentially. However after nearly 7 months of him being out of work, this sounds like the best thing out there. So we will have to pray that not only does he get this contract position, that we get insurance cleared in time for my scan!
So tomorrow will be a big day for Tony. Hopefully things will go well and we can finally start living a normal life again.
I will post when I know something… even if I haven’t taken a photo yet.

Will be praying for Tony tomorrow!
Sorry you had such a bad day except for the good lab results!
Take care, Rowena
