Yep! We are still here!

As you can see we must be going through something of biblical proportions right now in New Jersey and the Northeast. With the earthquake and hurricane in August and now this snow storm in OCTOBER. I just can’t believe what is happening.

We had heard about the storm for a few days but honestly I thought it was going to be a dud. Weathermen normally go around acting like Chicken Little then it really does turn out to be nothing. You can imagine my shock then when it started snowing around 11:30 this morning. About half an hour later, we decided to go out and grocery shop (we would have done this anyway even had it not snowed). Whole Foods was a ZOO! Seriously I think I saw a monkey and maybe even a lion there. We had a hard time getting a spot to park but found one. Then I hopped in the back to get Max’s coat on him (he can’t wear a heavy coat in the car seat as it isn’t safe). While I was doing that a guy next to us in a big SUV with snow covering his windows to the point that we couldn’t see him, proceeded to try to back out of his spot. Thankfully, God was there and stopped him before he killed someone and he stopped the car and started to scrape his windows so he could see out. By the time we left the grocery store, it was really snowing but it was clearing out in way of the parking lot. So that is good.

We also were not able to get our farmer order today because of the snow. So we will get it on Monday. That should be good. We just heard that our governor has declared a state of emergency and so we don’t think we will be able to go to our normal 7:30 am mass. Which is a bummer. Last time we went to the later mass Max didn’t do well. So we will have to see how he does.

Well to the sound of the radio and snow plows working around here, I must end for now.
