Yes we are expected to be in the path of Irene. We have battened down the hatches outside as much as we could, filled both cars with gas, and have enough food and water to last us for about a week. I have also lowered the temperature in our chest freezer to -10F though I may see if I can lower it more. We plan on sleeping on the first floor of our house on Saturday night. The storm is expected to hit us Saturday night or Sunday morning. My plan is to update the blog on Saturday night like I normally would, then update roughly every hour after we wake up on Sunday. I will continue this till the storm seems to have gone away or dissipated. If we loose power this will come via my cell phone, however I will be taking lots of pictures with my real camera as to show what things are like.
My guess is this will not be as bad for us as they are telling us it will be. However Tony and I tend to be over prepared as part of our nature so I imagine we will be fine regardless.
