Today we had to take our Camry in for an oil change (and a replacement battery) and the Odyssey in for a nail in her shoe (tire). So we decided to walk around the mall nearby. Max saw some rides and wanted a ride. This is him on a ride. I don’t think he thought it was that great. Next time he should just pick the motorcycle.
Tony did well at his interview yesterday. However it became painfully obvious while it says it is only 2 hours away driving distance, it is more like 3 hours away. Traffic is AWFUL.
So we are actually now back in the camp of we might move again. I know, we thought we were done with being in this camp but here we are again. The company might pay for relocation and so we might be doing that. The good news is because it isn’t THAT far it will be easy (relative term there) to come back for the frozen embryos. Also I have already looked and they have nice hospitals there for me. We would be moving to Long Island and there is something nearly poetic about that in and of itself. After all what initially got my attention about this area was Billy Joel’s music. Billy Joel sings a lot about Long Island that is when he was still singing. I have lived in New York in the past but never Long Island and that is a different animal. Rents are absurdly high. Seriously we were not paying that much back in Boston… then again we need more space then we needed in Boston. There is also the aspect that I watched 1 too many stories about the hurricanes that hit the island in the 30’s. So I hope that doesn’t make me duck and cover at the thought of a hurricane coming near the island. Ha ha! Then there is the aspect of Fenway. There has to be a lot of Yankee fans there. That could get sticky!
All in all our lifestyle would change a bit, but not THAT much. So that would be good. We will have to see though what happens this week.
