Pitfalls of limboland

This is Max after he had some chocolate this evening. We didn’t do much today other then church and a small trip to a grocery store. Tomorrow is our big day with my scan, and Tony going to the airport.

I have discovered one of the pitfalls of this hurry up and wait that we have had to do. I have very little in the house right now that isn’t packed! This doesn’t sound bad, however you need to remember that all of our organizing and packing was with the thought that by September we would be moving. Now it is looking more like by October. I packed up thinking 1 month and now it is 2. I also thought we would be busy figuring out said move by now but nope. So I wanting to do more, but can’t because of the potential move. We have done most everything we need to do in the house except for a few minor painting and painting Max’s room. I guess we could give the house a good cleaning too but nothing that wouldn’t be done in 2 days tops, even with the dog and the kid demanding stuff. We have so little out that simple things like getting a book off a shelf or cooking certain things are big productions because we don’t have the stuff out or accessible.

I know this is temporary and honestly we don’t expect to hear word this week but it can be frustrating. Though I must admit that this “simple” life does have some good points, but it also has some drawbacks as well.
