A very long day…

Okay today’s photo isn’t great but it is what it is.

Tony said the interview today went as well as he could hope. However he did have issues with transportation. He got to the train station to hear that all service was suspended. Just as he called me to tell me this though service came back on limitedly and he hopped on board the train. Then on the way back service was down again. They were telling people to go to the bus station about 10 blocks away. So he went there. It was complete chaos there and he heard that service was back on the rails but they were running slow because of the electrical issues (most trains here are electric) and no Amtrak service. 4.5 hours after being ready to go home, he got off the bus and I picked him up… about 30 minutes from home.

So while this position is closer we experienced first hand what can happen potentially. The good news is when I was working for a family that would routinely go to the city I don’t remember this happening that often. So it truly is a case of a bad day to go into the city.

Tony also found out that he has another company interested in him and wants to do a phone interview a week from tomorrow. This company is very strange in that in EVERY one of Tony’s job searches since we have been married (so this is the 3rd job search) this company has been interested in him. I told Tony that I got a bit of a chill when I heard that they were interested again. To me this is a question of when they hire him and not if since the show so much interest in him. I should also state that every position he has been interested in has been in a different location too. So it should be interesting to see where that goes or if it will be too little too late and he gets an offer before then.

Tomorrow Max and I go to playgroup and I make the carrot cake that I made recently for a potluck on Saturday that we are going to.
