This is Max in his new rain poncho.
A couple of days ago I got Max a plastic poncho at the drug store. I wasn’t looking for lasting qualities, I just wanted something that would work in a pinch. Well even though the poncho said it was “junior” sized, it was swimming on Max. So today I took some fabric I had laying around the house and made Max this. It is lined with a pirate print flannel. The seam binding is for quilts but it is what I had on hand. I put 3 snaps down either side and I made it long so that he could walk in the rain and his pants would stay relatively dry. If he is wearing shorts they would be completely dry. Oh and best of all, the poncho is so big, I think it could double as a blanket for him. Talk about a win win!
