Beef! It is whats for dinner.

As you can see we have a full freezer of beef now. This actually looks worse then it is. We have been slowly eating down some other food so the part under the baskets is actually not that full. We got 199.65 lbs of beef today and believe it or not, we actually think we are missing some. We had requested dog bones, organ meat, and we didn’t get any normal ribs (we did get short ribs). So we think we were missing a box. I emailed the farmer to look into it. This is essentially a side of beef or half a cow (don’t know if it is the left or right side).  We figure that if we had a more or less empty freezer we could also get a pig and a lamb and have a meat freezer basically. But since we got the beef when we did, we don’t really need to worry about that because we have to stagger the pig and lamb as they are not ready now anyway. So it works out good.

We also got 5 chickens today that are frozen (they are in the freezer too). They are nearly the size of small turkeys weighing around 7 lbs. I guess that is what happens when you let a chicken eat and be like they are suppose to be. Ha ha!

Well that is all for now!
