First an answer to a question. The blocks previously pictured were Wedgits. They can be found here. At least that is where I found them. We have the 20 piece tote. Though I imagine we will expand our collection as they are a lot of fun!
Okay today I needed to go grocery shopping but Max insisted on having a bath, so while I did do some grocery shopping I didn’t do all of it. Aside from that we also had to clean up remaining snow from the driveway. I tried to clean it up as much as possible as snow can turn into ice rather quickly and parts of it were doing that. So while I was out there I decided to take some photos.
I was trying to figure out a way to show the depth of the snow piles we have had to create. I figured Max was a good way to show so I tried to take his photo… sadly he didn’t like that.
Regular followers of this blog would remember my Azalea bush. Well this is it… under all that snow. If you look closely you can see the one branch breaking through the snow.
This is my attempt at showing the mound near the street. It is really tall and honestly Max would not be able to see in the street from the sidewalk right now.
I think this photo shows it best. I am not doing anything other then just standing on the other side of the street (though not at the sidewalk as there is too much snow). You can partially see the minivan and how high the snow is in relation to that. It really is amazing. Photo of the day.
What might be also surprising to those of you that don’t deal with this that often, is that when I went to the grocery store today, I wore normal shoes. The streets and parking lots are all plowed so no need to wear boots.
It did snow today again a bit but it looked like a light coating on top. We shall see if we get another storm like this one again soon.
