remission status!!! YAY!
I am finally in remission and now I only have to have scans every 3 months for the first year. When those are all clear then I will go on to every 4 months for the second year, and the third year I hope to be pregnant again so I will get a scan before I get pregnant (a perk of having IVF I guess) and right after I deliver (the hospital I deliver in even has a PET/CT machine, how nice is that!). I assume after that point I will be going in every 6 months till I just have yearly scans eventually.
My hope is after my April 2012 scan I can start the massive prep work that I need to do to get the frozen embryos. Then after my 2 year scan I can have my transfer and go on from there. It looks good on paper at least.
Today however happens to be the 4 year anniversary of loosing Alexander. So while it is good news to be in remission today, I will never see this day as a happy day. I lost my son on this day. How can it be seen as a good day?
In other news Max said “Ni hao” this morning. He went up into the bathroom where Tony was and walked in and said “ni hao”. I have got Max (in the mail hasn’t come yet) a Chinese language program for babies. So clearly he will show an intrest in it. Oh and by the way, “Ni hao” (pronounced NEE-how) means “hello” in Chinese.
Well that is about it for now. Talk to you later!
