Well I have been trying to figure out how I can describe what the radiation is like. I found this video and that should help. http://www.varianrapidarc.com/rapidarc-video However that just tells a bit about the story. Also the machine rotates more then just once around me. However it takes about 5-10 minutes for me I believe. The machine looks the same though. The inside of the machine I am still trying to figure out how to explain. http://varian.mediaroom.com/index.php?s=13&cat=22&mode=gallery This shows what it looks like but it isn’t attached to the machine. The space between moves as I am getting radiation. Also the sides limit all of the radiation to the area that is in question. Not sure if that helped explain it but at least I tried.
I saw my doctor today and he said that he stimulated many different plans on me before deciding on this one. He said that I will be getting 17 treatments like I have been getting then 3 treatments will be just focusing on the side of my body that my cancer was found. Those will be my last 3 treatments. That is all I learned.
I will be meeting with the doctor who did my surgery on Monday, then I will meet with this doctor again on Wednesday. Today I was there longer then normal but I think there were some kinks in the system.
That is all I know for now!
