My appointment today went well. I met with a resident and with the oncologist.
They said basically the 2 diagnosis’ are 2 heads of the same coin. They can actually co-exist in the same lymph node even.
So in that light they want me to start Chemo… on Monday. I will also be getting a port-cat or port-cath (not sure which it actually is). I will be getting that on Monday as well. This is a titanium box that is installed in my chest (connecting to an artery) that I can get Chemo through and they can draw blood through. This will save my veins.
The Chemo I will be on is R-CHOP. This I will go into more tomorrow morning.
I will be doing Chemo for 6 sessions. I will go in every 3 weeks for a session. When I am done only have to wait a year before I go get the frozen embryos too. So that is all good.
Max did well at the appointment. Everyone was impressed by how good he was.
That is my quick update. I will update in more detail tomorrow morning.
