Trip Week 4. August 8 through 12th.

Finally this is the last week of our trip.

On August 8th we went to a family reunion and while there were a TON of photos taken, I was one of the people with my camera out. So sadly I have no photos for that day. After/during the family reunion we went to church. I had a rather funny thing happen as Max got intrested in licking the floor. So I went down to stop him and hit my head on the pew in front of me… considering that I was in the second row I didn’t know what else to do so I started laughing.

August 9th we went to a Balvarian Inn to have brunch. This is Max enjoying his food.

We then went to the zoo. We took a lot of photos of animals and here is a small sampling. On our way out Max got an elephant that we have named George.

August 10 we went to the Wisconsin state fair. We enjoyed bratworst, fried cheese curds, cream puffs the size of hambergers and Tony had some beer. We also happen to find a vender that was selling this patio set. It is red wood and it folds all up and has a cover so you don’t have to “store” it for the winter. We will be getting it in May.

These next photos were all taken on the last day of our trip August 12. We had a small cabin. Max playing on top bunk where he could see out easily.

Max sitting on the toliet in the “bathroom” in the cabin.

Daddy and Max taking a nap…

More fun on the top bunk!

Finally Max, Tony, Lewis and George as we are about to get off the train. We were told to go into a bigger cabin and (though this is perhaps their intention) this showed us what we were missing. Next time we will get the bigger cabin.

All told we would do this trip again in a second. Traveling by train was extreamely fun and one that I would hope others would think about doing. We learned a lot, we had a lot of fun and met intresting people from all walks of life. I can’t wait to do it again in a few years!
