This is week 3 or August 1 through 7. Weeks 1 and 2 can be found after this post.
PLEASE NOTE: I didn’t take any photos in family get togethers where there were a ton of people taking photos. It is my impression that people would be sending me photos so I didn’t take any.
August 1 –
Max sleeping at my fathers’ side of the family reunion.
This is Max at Skippers. Skippers is a resturaunt I have somewhat fond memories of as a child. My father loved going there and getting the All You Can Eat fish. Well lets just say that Homer Simpson has nothing on my father. My father (way back then) was almost exactly like Homer Simpson when we would go there.
It was my impression that they all closed, however thanks to my grandmother looking through a savings book that she got in the mail, we were able to go to one that was privately owned (after the company closed).
Yes Max does have a rash on his face. I accidentally forgot that he wasn’t to have tomatoes till after a year of age. I think he had a mild reaction to the ketchup.
August 2 –
Max eating outside Seattle… from this point forward we are with Tony’s family with exception of the time we are on the train.
August 3 –
Today we went to Seattle with Tony’s brother. Max and Tony all ready to go…
Lewis “looking over” the Space Needle.
The Monarail. What Max thinks…
What Tony’s brother, Steven thinks…
Lewis looking out at Puget Sound from Pike Street Market…
Lewis at the “flying fish” stand in Pike Street Market.
Lewis at the sign to Pike Street Market…
That night we went to a Japanese Resturaunt where they cook at your table. Max was in awe over this. I sadly don’t have any photo’s though.
August 4 – Max and daddy reading… We had a relaxing day this day. Tony went with his brother to a movie. I returned the rental car with my mother-in-law then took a nap with Max who wasn’t sleeping very well by this point.
August 5 –
We left out of Seattle on the way back. So this is the Puget Sound by train.
Going into the Cascades… Mountain…
The next 4 photos are all of the Cascades and going through that area.
August 6th –
I believe this is Glacier National Forest…
When going through Glacier, there are periods of covered tracks. It is my understanding that this is because the train goes through some areas that are prone to avalanches. This helps with that.
Max playing on the train… okay he is posing.
Somewhere in North Dakota or Montana.
August 7 –
Max playing on the train.
Max “helping” daddy put shoes on him, getting ready to deboard the train.
Max in the Minivan in Milwaukee.
Max eating fish at the fish fry in Milwaukee. The next 3 photos are from that event in which much of the family came out for.
Max with his second cousin (I think).
Max with his Great Great Aunt (Tony’s grandmothers sister).
Max and Tony built a fort on the bed at the hotel.
