Yikes!
Well here we are 18 days till our trip and I am getting closer to getting ready but I feel like I have a mountain to go over till I am there! I have a ton of stuff to put on my packing list and then I have to do dry runs of what is on my lists to make sure it fits. Oh well it will get done!
Tony and I did just get new cell phones though this weekend. These new phones allow for text messaging and email. So now I will be able to update the blog from the train! In my dry run of testing this out I found that I can put video and photo’s on the blog in separate posts. So no multiple picture posts unless I am near a computer. It will also say something about Verizon at the bottom of the posts with photo/video on them. This I will remove when I get to a computer again though.
Max is doing very well. He is still trying to learn to walk and it seems standing his his favorite position. He is eating “pick it up and eat it” food now. So no more purees for the most part. However he is also eating a ton of food. I can’t believe how much he eats really.
His program “Your Baby Can Read” is going very well. This morning I put it on for him and I think (not sure if it was on purpose or not) he read “arms up”. The words “arms up” came on the screen and before they said the words he had his arms up. However he didn’t do it any of the other times this came on the video so it could have been an accident. However he doesn’t like putting his arms up so that makes me think it was more intentional.
So he has been on the program for 1 week today (started in the afternoon last Wednesday) and he is already starting to get it. I am really impressed with this system so far. We will see if that continues.
In other news, Max has got into a BAD habit of not sleeping very well. He takes short power naps now (30 minutes or less most of the time) 2 to 3 times a day then wakes up 2-3 times at night. Not sure what is going on but it sort of puts me in a fog all day. Hopefully this is just a phase that he is going through.
Oh Max has also started to understand some language and started to express it. There are times when he will babble something that sounds very close to what he should say in a given situation. For instance, last night I was in another room while Max was in his crib with Tony in the room. Well when I came in the room it sounded like Max said “hi mommy”. However neither one of us was that sure we actually heard that or if that was his babbling.
Well Max just woke up otherwise I would post some photos. I will try to post some later today.

Have a good trip!
