Well we are back from our 2nd of 3 summer trips. I thought I would be able to post while down in Florida but sadly Max wouldn’t let me.
Max did very well on the trip! We drove down so it took us 2 days each way. The first day of the trip he got a tooth. His right top tooth came in on May 23. When I post pictures you should be able to see it.
We got down to my mom’s house around 3:00 pm and then my mom, Max and I went out to get food. My mom and step father had just got home that morning around 2 am from their trip to the British virgin islands. Needless to say they didn’t have much in their house. Max did okay with going out again but he clearly didn’t like being pinned in his seat again.
Monday we went out on the boat. Max HATED his life jacket. He isn’t that used to tight things around his neck and sadly that is how life jackets are designed. However he fell asleep on the way to the swimming spot. When we got in the water Max had fun but it suddenly became clear that he was hungry when he wanted to drink the water. Yuck! After a bit of food though he was fine and had fun in the water till eventually he went to sleep in his swimmy.
Tuesday we went for a walk to the park and Max had fun in the swing. Then we met up with my ex-step father (dad #2) and his girlfriend. That was a nice visit.
Wednesday we had breakfast with dad #2 and his girlfriend. Then we tried to wash the minivan that had got really dirty on the way down. It has been a while since I went to a self service car wash. That night Max played in his bathtub (small pool) on the dock. He had fun there!
Thursday we went out and got some things to make dinner that night. We grilled some chicken and made grilled mashed potatoes! Yum!
Friday we went to Ikea. That was fun. Tony and I got some ideas for our house and we may have found a bed for Max for when he goes out of his crib (March 2010). After that we went to eat some chicken wings. Max did well but he didn’t eat any wings. Ha ha! After that we went to the bar where my soon-to-be step sister-in-law works (she is a bartender). We met up with her and my step brother, Justin, who has been ill. Justin isn’t engaged to the bartendender. It was nice to see Justin doing so well. He got to hold Max and that was nice!
My step brother will be getting married somewhere between September and November of 2010. I hope I am able to go to the wedding as it will be in Florida. We will see.
On Saturday we went out again on the boat and Max seemed to not mind the boat as much. He had a ton of fun in the water but that life jacket is the pain in his side! He HATES it.
Sunday started to go home.
All told it was fun trip and relaxing!
Now to the next trip. The BIG trip. I know that there are members of my family that follow this blog.

If you are on my Mom’s side of the family please contact Grandma. She is organizing the family for a meet and greet on Saturday July 25 (not sure of location yet). If you want to meet up with Tony he is coming in late July 31. We will also be around the Portland area till the afternoon of August 2.
If you are part of Tony’s family and are in the Wisconsin area, I have no idea what is going on. We will be there from August 7th to 11th. The only thing we have to do is go to the Wisconsin fair.
