Max today…

Hello everyone!

Sorry it has taken me so long to post this week. Monday I should have posted about the weekend but I didn’t. Then the week started and before I could take a breath it was Thursday!

Max had a good weekend. Saturday he was helpful as we did things around the house and went to Walmart to get some things for our trips that we have planned this spring/summer. One of the things that we got was a 2 foot round swimming pool that we can use as a bathtub when we are visiting places. It was around 80 here on Saturday so I filled it up and let it be in the sun for a bit then thought I would see if Max liked it. Well I put him in it and he thought he was being tortured! He screamed and was trying anything to get out of it. I guess it wasn’t as warm as his baths so he didn’t like it. I then just let him stand in it but that was not really fun for him either since he still whined. So then I let him play outside of the pool.

Sunday we had fun at church then we relaxed most of the rest of the day. We did go for a walk though and that was nice.

Monday
– Max had fun at Music Together. He started to roll and move around a bit more then he did last week. So that was good. After class we went to Target and got him a real pool play mat to play in the backyard with this summer. I also got a tripod finally for the camera! The rest of the day was relaxing for both of us.

Tuesday – We went to the Woman’s Prayer group and Max did okay at it. He was a bit fussy but I think that is because he seems to be going through a growth spurt right now and isn’t sleeping really well. After that we went to the Township and inquired about permits for a fence in the front yard (we are thinking about putting up a picket fence so that we can have an added level of protection for both Max and our future dog, since the cars go fast down our road) and for replacing our driveway, which sadly we need to do because it is tilted towards our house. Neither permit was that expensive (the fence one is free) so that was good news! Then after that I went to go vote in a school board election. To my surprise the polling doesn’t start till 2 pm! So Max and I went back home and then walked to the polling place to vote. That was the end of that day!

Wednesday – Wednesday is suppose to be my down day in the middle of the week. Sadly yesterday it wasn’t. Max and I were going to go out to the dry cleaners, grocery shopping and then to a paint store to see if they rent projectors so I can paint a mural in Max’s room. Well I put Max in his car seat and went around the car to the driver side. I happen to notice a wet spot on the driveway. Confused (it had rained the night prior but the driveway was dry) I bent down and felt it and it was an oil like substance. So I take Max out of the car seat and go inside to call Tony to see how Sally (the Camry that Tony drives) did on the way to his work. Tony is confused by my question as to him Sally was fine. I get concerned though and tell Tony that I am coming down to take the Sally to a Firestone (where we had just Sally’s oil changed on Saturday) down there. So Max and I drive down to where Tony works (1 hour away) and I move the car seat into Sally and then take her to Firestone.

The check her there and say that she needs a new gasket for the oil pan and a new part for the power steering. I ask if we can take it to our Firestone and they say yes but we shouldn’t drive it any more then we absolutely need to. So I take Sally back to Tony’s work and switch the car seats again and leave Tony with Sally and I take Maya (the minivan) with Max. We do our grocery shopping and dry cleaning run but don’t get to the paint store. Tony drives right to our Firestone from work and Max and I pick him up. Another day gone!

This morning we find out that it was only a blown gasket in Sally and not the power steering problem. So that is good! The plan for today is Max and I will take the bus to the Firestone (at the mall) and meet Tony (and Maya) there. This way Max’s day isn’t too disrupted.

These were all taken this morning. Sorry he wasn’t in the best mood at the time.

I don’t know why but lately Max has taken to grabing a burp rag in his mouth. Here is an example.

Okay someone asked a question:
Where do I get the baby leg warmers?
The ones that are not made by grandma (Tony’s mom) I purchase at www.babylegs.com They have a ton of styles to choose from.

That is all I have for now.
