Hello everyone!
Well Max had his worst night ever last night. I was feeding him drifting in and out of sleep myself when all of a sudden he started screaming like he was hurt. Well we are on the bed surrounded by pillows and soft things. He wasn’t hurt. I put him down. He gets mad. I pick him up and he just wails. I try to feed him, he refuses. Finally he starts to calm down and I start nursing him again. 2 hours later he does the exact same thing. This time I am starting to get concerned. We take his temperture (we need a better themometer but that is a different story) finally after 3 attempts we find out that he doesn’t have a temperture (97.6 under the arm). So I have Tony call the ped thinking that if this continues we will have to go to the ER. Well finally we get him calmed down again and we find out he is teathing. He has 2 swollan noduals on his lower gum. He sleeps well for the rest of the night.
This morning I am able to get a better look. I can see the 2 bumps but it looks like it will be a while before they break through. I figure if he screams like this again tonight we will go straight to giving him tylenol. Max never complains like this so when he does it normally is for a reason so to me this is the best solution.
Today though we had a perfect baby! We took him to church and I knew he would be awake for some of the mass. He was an absolute angel! He looked around for the first part of mass and then during the sermon he fell asleep… no binky (pacifier) or helping from me! He was in his little carrier but that is it! He slept through the rest of services then slept to our breakfast place. I put him in the stroller at that point and he slept through our breakfast! He finally woke up when I put him in his carseat to go to bible study. I changed his diaper when we got to bible study, he ate during the study and right now he is asleep and he has been sleeping for about 2-3 hours. Albeit that we all took a family nap and that helped!
So I guess Max is getting 2 teeth. In a way this is all new for us from here on out. We have never had a child with teeth that we could see by something other then x-ray. We always knew these teeth were there from the x-rays that he had in the hospital but it will be nice to see them.
Max playing in his jumperoo the last couple of days…
Talk to you tomorrow!
