My update…

Okay I got my instructions.
I am to take Repronex tonight, tonight will be my last night of Avandia (the medication that I take for my insulin resistance)
Lupron tomorrow morning, and start Doxycycline (antibiotic).
Then I will trigger with 10,000 units tomorrow night at 7:45.
My egg retrival will be Thursday at 7 am.

In case your curious my E2 was 1646 this morning. The challenging part will be that I can’t eat after 7PM on Wednesday. Typically Tony and I eat after that point. I also can’t have anything greasy or sugary as a last meal. So no Chinese food! Ha ha!

The good news is there is a homeowners meeting that night (Wednesday) at 7 pm. We are not homeowners but I like to go to the meeting because I think it is important to get to know our neighbors, also the more we show up the less they will think we are bad renters. So that will keep my mind off things that night.

So this will put my transfer on either Sunday or Tuesday. Lets hope I get to go to church on Sunday!

I realize that I haven’t made my bread reference in a while. If you remember I was comparing IVF to a loaf of sourdough bread. We have already had the starter (Gonal F), the water to hold it together (Lupron), the yeast (Repronex). We were allowing the dough to rise (days with Repronex). Now we are at the dividing and shaping of the loaves. I would say that the dividing is the trigger shot. The shaping of the loaves would be the egg retrieval. I think that is where we are now.

Later we will put the bread in the oven and the bread will rise a bit (Growing of the embryo’s) and then we will need to put a milk bath on the bread (Embryo transfer). Then it is just a matter of cooking the bread till it is done (progesterone and pregnancy). Bread comes out of the oven and the baby is born! Ha ha!

Well that is all I have for now. Talk to you all later!
Jennifer

    Hi Jennifer,

    I’m so excited for you!

I just reread the last time I wrote you and realized I need to proofread. It should have read big day, not bid day! Now you really can look forward to the BIG day of the transfer.

    Take care, Rowena
