Almost there…

Hello everyone!

Well my appointment went well today. The NP said that she thinks I will trigger tonight for a Wednesday ER but the blood needed to be checked to tell for sure. I should have between 11 and 13 eggs. Right now I have 18 – 20 measurable follies (over 10 mm).

I asked for samples of prenatals today at my RE’s office. So I got one that to my surprise also has a stool softener in it. For me stool softeners were the worst part of my pregnancy when I had the triplets. Okay not the worst but close to it. Ha ha! When I was in the hospital I didn’t mind taking any of my pills but I got tired of them pushing this stool softener on me. ANYWAY I came back home and compared this prenatal to the one I am waiting on from my insurance company. Then for giggles I also looked up the prenatal from the bag that I got (different from the prenatal they gave me). To my shock (and quite honestly my relief), the one that I am waiting on is actually better then either one of these two as far as having more vitamins and minerals in it! I guess I have the best prenatal, at least that I have been able to find so far. BTW drugs in question were Duet DHAec, CitraNatal DHA and Prenate DHA.

A question was asked about how long from my egg retrieval will I know if I have a Max and/or Lizzie.

This is actually an interesting question. I will have my embryo transfer 3 or 5 days after my egg retrieval. Last time I had a 3 day transfer, this time I am hoping to do a 5 day transfer. 2 weeks after my transfer I will have a blood pregnancy test. Assuming this is positive I will have an ultrasound about 2 weeks later. Now during this time I will be “reading the tea leaves” to see if I can guess if there is one or 2 children in me. So I will probably put up a poll to see what other people think I am having.

Around 8 weeks (in pregnancy terms that is about 6 weeks from now) I will have an ultrasound to see heartbeat. This is where we found the triplets, way back when.

Assuming I have a healthy pregnancy, I should find out around 20 weeks (or 18 weeks from now) if I have a boy or a girl or both.

So if I were to put this into dates:
First ultrasound ~Feb. 18
Heart rate ultrasound ~March 3
Level 2 ultrasound (the one at 20 weeks) ~May 26 (which is Memorial day but during that week)
30 week mark (my first major goal with this and all future pregnancies) – ~Aug. 4
38 week mark (My can’t go past week for any pregnancy, will be less with twins, my guess) ~September 29
