Hello,
Well we got our phone call. I guess we have 1 – 6 celled embryo, and 3 – 4 celled embryo’s. The final embryo never divided and is still 1 celled.
Our transfer will be tomorrow at 1:45. They will decide which two of the 3 – 4 celled (currently) embryo’s that we will transfer at that time. Ideally they are looking for this.
I will be on bedrest for the rest of the day after the embryo transfer so I will ask Tony to write about that experiance tomorrow. We will have pictures of the ones that we transfered but we do not have a scanner at home so I don’t think we will be able to post them.
Following tomorrow’s transfer I will have 3 blood tests in the next 2 weeks. I don’t know when 2 of them will be but the third one and most important (or maybe it is exciting) will be on the Aug. 13. That will be my beta (pregnancy) test.
We are also going to get reports on the other 2 embryos until we have them frozen, my guess that will be on Wednesday.
Okay I am going to post what I have seen on a several message boards reguarding what happens after the transfer. I do not know if this is scientific but I though I would post it. (DPT = Days past transfer)
1dpt ..embryo is growing and developing
2dpt… Embryo is now a blastocyst
3dpt….Blastocyst hatches out of shell on this day
4dpt.. Blastocyst attaches to a site on the uterine lining
5dpt.. Implantation begins,as the blastocyst begins to bury in the lining
6dpt.. Implantation process continues and morula buries deeper in the lining
7dpt.. Morula is completely inmplanted in the lining and has placenta cells &
fetal cells
8dpt…Placenta cells begin to secret HCG in the blood
9dpt…More HCG is produced as fetus develops
10dpt…More HCG is produced as fetus develops
11dpt…HCG levels are now high enough to be immediately detected on
HPT

Talk to you all later!

Jennifer,
You are constantly in my prayers. You and Tony are already such wonderful parents. I am keeping my fingers crossed, and please take my pineapple juice recommendation seriously. Also, I promise to make you (and even deliver!) some serious smoothies to you to make those kiddos grow once they are implanted. You have no idea how much I want this to work for you guys.
Looking forward to playdates with your kids!
Abby
