Hello,
Well this morning we had our egg retrival. They retrieved 9 eggs. This is a good number. I shouldn’t have to worry about OHSS. So that is good.
I am feeling well. No real pain but I am only out 4 hours so the pain meds may still be in me. I do have a bit of a scratch throat but I think that is from the oxygen that I was given during the procedure.
I am now taking a ton of meds. I will be taking progestrone in oil 2 times a day (2cc’s), prometrium 3 times a day (200mg), Medrol (an oral steroid) 4 times a day, Doxycyline (an antibiotic) 2 times a day, and all the other vitamins that I normally take. This morning I took 5 pills. Ha ha!
I had a meeting with the nutritionist yesterday. She said that I should eat low fat cheese. I always thought that was an oxymoron and even told her so. I told her that if I am going to eat something then I am going to eat it. If I am not going to eat it then I am going to not eat it. I will eat in moderation but I will not eat rubber cheese. Oh well. I will not be going back to a nutrionist till September.
We will be getting daily updates on our embryos, so as I get them I will post it. I am told that I will have 3 appointments after the embryo transfer. They are scattered with the last one being 14 days after the transfer for my Beta or pregnancy test. I personally don’t think I will wait for the beta and plan on taking a home pregnancy test before that date.
That is all I have for now.
Jennifer
