Update # 1

Well Tony woke me up around 2:30 am this morning to tell me that we were under a tornado watch. At about 3 am we decided to go down into the basement and at 3:20 we got the all clear. It took Max about an hour to go back to sleep. Tony sadly hasn’t got much sleep as he was in charge of making sure our sump pump was working through the night and sadly it kept having it’s GFCI tripped and the float kept getting stuck.

Ironically it seems that the worst is behind us now. The storm for the most part is in New England. From what I can tell by looking out the window, it looks like this storm wouldn’t have been that bad if we didn’t have satalights telling us it was bad. However I know that is only really true right here.

Well I will see what more daylight will bring and we will likely go for a walk late this morning as the satalight view shows that we should really be over this by noon today. We kept our power this whole time, guess that is what happens when you live near a substation. I will try to take some photos to show what things look like too.

    Hi Jennifer,

So glad to hear all is well with you after the storm. Thankfully it turned out not to be as bad as it seemed it would be from the models. I am still trying to reach our son who lives in Newport, RI to see how they are doing. I suspect their power may be out and he’s not answering his cell phone. Maybe things are so good there that they have gone to church! That’s my hope.
Enjoy the rest of your day. Rowena
