Finally update on rest of vacation and home…

Okay I know I am late with this posting. I am sorry. We got home and have been very busy since then.

We left off on a Thursday. So that day we went to see my Dad #2 and his girlfriend. He took us to a cool place where it seemed to be some sort of resort that had an island with monkeys on it. They were not really out so I couldn’t get any photos but I did get some cute ones of my favorite monkey.

We thought we would take a toll road back to my mom’s house from there. So we got the Sun Pass from Florida figuring that it would more then pay for itself since it seems every time we are in Florida we go on a toll road. Well turns out you can’t use the pass for 4 hours after it is activated. So now we have a pass, but can’t use it till we go back down in November. Live and learn!

Friday – Hmmm it has been too long, I don’t remember what we did on Friday. Oops!

Max dancing

Saturday we went out and my mom got me my birthday present early. I got a nice Vera Bradley purse and wallet. Then we went to Sam’s Club and my mom got Max a cute little school desk for his birthday! We were going to be outside after that but it looked like rain so we didn’t do that, it was also about 500 degrees outside and that didn’t sound like fun. We ended up going on a drive and getting ice cream.

Sunday we went out on the boat. This was fun and it was fun to see Fenway and Max on the water again. Both were much more relaxed this time and that was nice. About the time that we would have left, it started to get stormy. Mom and I thought it would be a thunder and lighting event so we thought it would be fun to hunker down where we were rather then risk going back in the storm. Well it was just a rain event so it wasn’t exciting. However it was a fun day!

All the boats out that day!

The weather that day!

Monday we relaxed and then we went on a relaxing boat ride and got lunch. This wasn’t a swimming event and we left Fenway at Mom’s house. It was a fun little trip and it was nice to see all the houses on the water.

Tuesday we left to come back home. The traffic wasn’t bad and we were able to get to the hotel at a reasonable time (I think about 4:30). So that is good.

Wednesday we went the rest of the way home. Well I tried to plan this so we wouldn’t hit rush hour but we hit one traffic jam just south of DC and we hit rush hour ALL the way home! It stank! We got home about 7 pm and about 3 hours of that was traffic!

Tony calls Maya the Minivan, our mini RV. These photo’s you can see the setup. Fenway has his crete under Max’s seat. Under the drivers seat is the pot for Max to use the restroom. Fenway is allowed to walk out in the back seat (DOES NOT go to the front it is blocked off). Plenty of legroom for whoever isn’t driving. Max even has a video player (that is  VERY secure), and we had a cooler in the back for food!

Thursday Tony went back to work and Max and I were busy unpacking, and then we had a play date in the afternoon. That was fun.

Friday we went grocery shopping and got blinds for our office/guest room.

All weekend long we worked on the house.

Monday Max started school (home-school). So that was interesting. We went to the library to get some books and Max seems to be doing fairly well. At times he seems to have a short attention span but that is his age.

Yesterday and today we continued with schooling.

Tomorrow is grocery shopping and Friday we are going to get some fabric for a carseat poncho for Max. This weekend is going to be working on the house again as my in laws are coming out for Max’s birthday a week from Sunday! Can’t believe it has been 2 years!

So that is us in a nutshell!
