Case number 8…

Well I finally started my cycle on Monday so now I can start my monitoring cycle. Today I went in for my first ultrasound and blood work appointment. I was watching the ultrasound tech start everything up for me and on there it said that I had 7 “cases”. I assume that this means that they have monitored me 7 times prior.

Wow! Now that we have Max I don’t really think that much about how much I (we) went through to get him. However I actually could count every cycle and most of them are on our blog… Monitoring cycle (September 2005), IUI cycle (December 2005), injectable IUI cycle (February 2006… triplets), monitoring cycle (March/April 2007), First IVF attempt (May 2007), Second IVF attempt (June/July 2007), Third IVF attempt (December 2007/January 2008). There are all 7 cycles (cases). So that makes this case (cycle) number 8.

Everything looked normal with me. So that is good. Max did very well in the almost 1 hour that we were in the office. I had many vials of blood drawn today. I think there were about 8 vials… I need to eat a big steak tonight just to make up for it. Haha! I go back a week from Friday.

Max has been doing well. He is getting better with walking though he will still crawl if he needs to… I would say he is 50/50 with walking crawling. Talking he is trying to say more and more everyday. We hear him say new things almost everyday too.

He loves to read. He loves looking at his books and clearly has 2 modes. One is playing looking at a book. And another is learning looking at a book where he has his thumb in his mouth. It is hard to say what he knows as far as reading is going. He clearly knows some things but it is hard to put a finger on it right now.

Well that is all for now!
