Embryo Transfer

First of all I would like to mention that today is the 1 year anniversary of my giving birth to the three wonderful lights in Tony’s and my life. Even though they were here for a brief moment in time they will always be in our hearts. I am sure that they are looking after their brother’s and/or sister’s right now.

Yesterday’s embryo transfer went well. We transfered 2 embryo’s then I rested for much of the rest of the day. My medication changed a bit yesterday. I am now on 1ml of Progestrone in oil twice a day insted of 2ml. I also finished both my doxcycline and my medrol (antibiotic and steroid). So now I am just down to taking vitamins and progesterone, both injected and orally.

The report of the embryos:

My RE grades the embryo’s on a scale of 1 to 5. 5 being they can’t find a thing wrong with it and 1 being poor. They like anything over 3.

We had:
1 – 8 celled embryo grade 5
2 – 8 celled embryos grade 4.5
1 – 12 celled embryo grade 3.5

We transfered the grade 5 and one of the grade 4.5. We can’t really do better then that. We are hopeful that we will be able to freeze the other 2 perhaps tomorrow. We will see. I may get a phone call today saying how they are doing. We have pictures of the 2 that we did transfer but I don’t have them in the computer so perhaps this weekend or next week I will get those scanned in for all to see.

I will have 2 blood tests in the next 2 weeks. One on the 4th and one on the 9th. This is to see what my progestrone level is. My pregnancy test will be on the 13th.

That is about all the information I have for now. Talk to you later!

  1. Jennifer, what a great embie report! I am praying for your two little ones to snuggle in deep and stay put in there for at least 8 months!

I am also thinking and praying for Tony on Emily’s, Alexander’s and Christopher’s birthday. I am missing them with you.
