A sad day

Jennifer called me this morning and sadly, Emily isn’t doing well.
Jen asked me to post a note to tell everyone they think our sweet little girl may not be with us too much longer.
Emily is stating in the 70s. The Dr’s say her PDA was opening again and she has something called Cor pulmonle, which from what I understand is a progressive cardio pulmonary disease. The prognosis is not good.
Please pray for Jennifer and Tony for strength in this the most unbearable time, and for our little Emily who is loved so much by all whom she has touched, our family, and friends around the world.

I am saddened beyond words to hear of Emily’s condition, and my thoughts and prayers will be with Tony and Jennifer and your entire family. May God give you the strength to face whatever these next days bring, and may you realize how many people Emily is touching with her courage.

  2. I will be praying for little Emily. I have followed her for quite a while after being directed here from Isaac’s blog. I don’t know what else to say, except that your devotion to your daughter is awe-inspiring and I will say a prayer for all of you.

  3. Jennifer and Tony,

My heart is broken for you. I am still praying and holding out hope for some kind of miracle. I pray that you are spending precious time with Emily. I am so so sorry.

    Dear Jesus,

I pray on my knees lifting up little Emily, and her brave parents Jennifer and Tony. Please send your angels to watch over them. Please Lord, if its in your will, please give them a miracle. They have gone through so much. Lord, please provide them with strength and comfort them.

    In Jesus Name,

    Dear Jennifer and Tony,

My thoughts are with you both right now and baby Emily. I have just sat and read your entire blog from start to finish. What a roller coaster you guys have been on.

My son was born also at 24weeks and spent 227days in the NICU. I understand the sat problem. Ashton was “the swinger” of the NICU. He is now 19months old, 15 corrected and just came off of oxygen two months ago. Until this day he still has moments where he is satting in the low 80s. Sometimes lower.

I can’t even begin to imagine what it was like to lose two babies and now feel like you may lose another. Emily has fought for so long that you just have to believe that she will continue to fight. She is absolutely adorable, and I am praying for her.

I am at a loss for words. I am thinking of you both through this difficult time.

My thoughts and prayers are with you…
