Hello,
We got the news this morning that Emily now has another infection in her lungs. She is currently on 100% O2 and her settings on the oscillator have increased. Her CO2 levels have increased as well, last I heard it was at 86. They told us it is bacterial from all indications so far. I have no other information at this time. However we are told that the steroids that she is taking can make infections worse if she has one. Also since she didn’t completely recover from her last infection (it started 2 weeks ago) this could be very bad. Tony and I are hopeful that they have got ahead of this infection but we don’t know what the doctors think yet.
